…Certified Nursing Assistant; 54 LOWELL – Janie M. Rogers, age 54, a former Billerica resident, died Wednesday evening, April 9, at the Willow Manor Nursing Care Center in Lowell, after a courageous four month battle with Pancreatic Cancer. She was born in Chelsea, August 23, 1959, one of seven children of the late Jack E. and Eleanor (Martell) Rogers, and was raised in Billerica, where she attended Billerica Public Schools. She was raised as a member of St. Anne’s Episcopal Parish. She earned her Certification as a Nursing Assistant, during her twenty seven years as an employee of Heritage Healthcare Services, based in Lowell. She was well known in the area Bingo circle, and also enjoyed trips to the Connecticut Casinos and Las Vegas. She leaves her son, Shawn Lawrence of Lowell; six siblings, Kenneth and his wife Joyce Rogers of Billerica, Jack “Jackie” Rogers and Laurie Dempsey both of Lowell, Leroy Rogers of CT, Tammy Rogers of Billerica, and Gale Rogers of Lowell, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and was predeceased by her long time companion, Jack Lefave, who died in 2009. Visiting hours Sunday, April 13, from 5:30 until 9 p.m. in the funeral home. Her Funeral will begin Monday at (time pending) from the Funeral Home, followed by a Funeral Service at (time pending) in St. Anne’s Church, Treble Cove Rd. in Billerica. Burial will be in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 510 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105 are encouraged.

Louis Amirto, 91 of Billerica, died Sunday after a brief illness in Billerica. Born in Boston, he lived in Billerica for the past 5 years and formerly of Stoneham. He was the son of the late Angelina (Verlotto) and Antonio Amirto. Louis was a machinist with Precision Metal in Peabody for 25 years and retired in 1987. He served during World War II in the U.S. Army 1942 to 1945 and received the Bronze Star. Beloved husband of Doris (Pollino) Amirto. Devoted father of Lawrence Amirto of Florida, Terry Amirto Burke and her husband George of Billerica, Paul Amirto and his wife Marie of North Carolina. Also survived by 10 loving grandchildren and 12 loving grandchildren. Brother of Ann DeMasi of Wakefield and the late Frank, Virgilio, Attilio, Theresa, Anthony and Nicholas Amirto. A Funeral Service will be celebrated in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 374 Main St., Wilmington, Thursday, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Barbara A. Kelleher Longtime Billerica Resident BILLERICA: Barbara A. (Jamieson) Kelleher, age 79, a resident of Billerica for over 45 years, formerly of Medford, passed away at her home, with her family by her side on Sunday, April 27, 2014. She was the beloved wife of John J. “Jack” Kelleher, with whom she celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on May 14, 2013. Born in Medford on May 2, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Mary (French) Jamieson. Barbara was born and educated in Medford, Massachusetts. Following her marriage to Jack, she dedicated her life to her family. Barbara resided in Somerville until moving to Billerica in 1965. She enjoyed vacationing with her family and was an active member in the Billerica Irish American Club. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her six children, Catherine M. Fiore and her husband Peter of Westfield, Mary Samost and her husband Randall of N. Reading, John J. Kelleher and his wife Ann Marie of Billerica, Kevin B. Kelleher and his wife Mary of Tewksbury, Patricia A. Donovan and her husband Mark of Tewksbury and Brian M. Kelleher of Billerica; fourteen grandchildren, Michelle Miele, Robert Miele, Liz Fiore, Betsy Dyke, Aubrey Samost, Shawn Donovan, Tyler Samost, Miranda Kelleher, Kevin Kelleher, John Kelleher, Matthew Donovan, Jared Samost, Ryan Kelleher, and Joseph Kelleher; five great grandchildren, Bobby Miele, Brannon Miele, Paige Miele, Lila Miele, and Travis Fiore; five siblings, Margaret Jamieson of Westfield, Adam Jamieson and his wife Phyllis of Wareham, Raymond Jamieson and his wife Doris of Billerica, Shirley Babcock and her husband John of Tewksbury, Stasia Grant and her husband Richard of Billerica; also many nieces and nephews. George F. Marsh Retired Union Iron Worker NORTH BILLERICA: George F. Marsh, age 69, a resident of North Billerica for 41 years, passed away at home on Sunday, May 11, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Leslie B. (Niederer) Marsh with whom he celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on August 3, 2013. Born in Chelsea on January 17, 1945, he was the son of the late George H. and Mary L. (McCarthy) Marsh. George was raised in Chelsea and graduated from Medford Vocational High School. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Local # 7 for 32 years as a Union Iron Worker. George enjoyed working around his yard, collecting wood for his wood stove, and most of all spending time with his family and grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Kristen M. Cunningham and her fiance Peter Martin of Marblehead, Jenn L. Griffin and her husband Ken of Tewksbury and Darren G. Marsh and his fiancee Jill Dunderdale of Braintree; three grandchildren, Ronan Cunningham, Owen and Connor Griffin; one sister, Jacqueline Walsh and her husband James of Tewksbury; one brother, James L. Marsh of Wilmington; also many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Born and raised in Charlestown, she was the daughter of the late Charles S. and Mabel (Rand) McCarthy. A Medford resident for 54 years, Jean lived for her family. She was a devoted mother who did everything she could to care for her children and especially loved the company of her 21 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. The beloved wife of Anthony J. Bossi with whom she shared 58 years of marriage, she was a devoted mother to Toni Marie Chardo and her husband Anthony of Medford, Lisa Oakes and her husband Stephen of FL, Dean Bossi and his wife Cheri of GA, Paul Bossi and his wife Cynthia of Billerica, Keith Bossi of Billerica, Scott Bossi and his wife Cynthia of Wakefield, Sherri Cole and her husband Gerard of Billerica, Anthony Bossi Jr. and his fiancé Gail Hills-Orth of Carver, Kristie Lacombe and her husband Michael of NH. She was a loving and proud “nannie” to 21 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Frederick J. Doherty Retired Facilities Manager for Athenium Group-Cambridge TEWKSBURY: Frederick J. Doherty, age 84, currently of Billerica, a formerly of Tewksbury, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at the Lowell General Hospital, following an extended illness. He was the beloved husband of Norma A. (Buckler) Doherty, who passed away on September 11, 1999. Born in Somerville on August 11, 1929, he was the son of the late Philip J. and Frances L. (Neagle) Doherty. Fred was raised in Somerville, attended Somerville schools and graduated from Somerville High School. Following high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served during World War II with Battery C, 271st Field Artillery Battalion. Fred was awarded several decorations for his military service including World War II Victory Medal and the Army Occupation of Japan Medal. In 1956, he and his late wife moved to Tewksbury, where they raised their seven children. Prior to his retirement in 1995, he was employed by the Athenium Group of Cambridge. Fred was a communicant of St. William’s Parish, where he was a founding and active member of the St. William’s Church Men’s Club for over 50 years. In addition, he was past President and served as a Coach in the Tewksbury Little League Baseball Program. Fred is survived by his children, Cheryl A. Doherty of Bradford, Joanne Cole and her fiance Douglas Lamport of Tewksbury, Frederick J. Doherty, Jr. and his wife Carolyn of Hampton, VA, Mary E. Hintze and her husband James of Berkeley Heights, NJ, James M. Doherty and his wife Laura of Wendell, NC, Catherine Flodin and her husband Michael Rizzari of Wilmington, and John P. Doherty and his wife Jeannie of Billerica; two sisters, Bette McCarthy of Lexington and Carol Granfield of Stoneham. He also leaves 23 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Fred was the brother of the late Philip Doherty, Louise DiMare, Marie Bennett, and Virginia Elrick. (O’Regan) McNeil, age 75, a former restaurant manger, died peacefully Monday morning, August 25, at the Life Care Center of Merrimack Valley in Billerica with her family at her side. She was born in Chelsea, August 11, 1939, a daughter of Myrtle (Pye) O’Regan of Topsfield, and the late Gerald O’Regan. She was raised in Chelsea, and graduated Chelsea High School. She had lived in Billerica since 1969. She worked as a restaurant manager at several well known area restaurants including the Bedford Glen, Thackery’s, and the 99’s on Boston Road in Billerica. She will be remembered for her devotion to her children and grandchildren, and her desire to show up for every sports event or Karate meet her grandchildren were involved in. Born in Everett on February 21, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Adam Jamieson and the late Mary (French) Jamieson. Margaret was raised in Medford, attended Medford schools and graduated from Medford High School. Prior to her retirement, she worked as an Assembler for the Semi-Con Company in Burlington. Margaret resided in Billerica for 34 years until moving to Westfield in 1996. She enjoyed vacationing with her family especially to Disney World during the Christmas season, and attending family gatherings. Margaret is survived by two sisters, Shirley Babcock and her husband John of Tewksbury and Stasia Grant and her husband Richard of Billerica; two brothers, Adam Jamieson and his wife Phyllis of Wareham and Raymond Jamieson and his wife Doris of Billerica; many nieces and nephews including Catherine M. Fiore and her husband Peter, with whom Margaret resided with for the past 38 years, of Westfield; also many grandnieces and grandnephews. Virginia M. (Memmo) Vaughan age 79 of Brockton, died Thursday April 3, 2014 at Signature Healthcare after a short illness. She was the devoted wife of Ralph F. Vaughan for 59 years. Virginia was born and raised in Hyde Park a daughter of the late Nicholas and Angelina (Ralli) Memmo and had been a resident of Brockton for over 50 years. A 1952 graduate of Hyde Park High School, Virginia was a self made woman of the 1950s. She was on the executive track of John Hancock Insurance when she left to stay home and raise her children. Virginia retired as the executive director of the Brockton Retirement Board after many years of service. She was an avid bingo player and loved to bowl. She was an accomplished knitter who enjoyed making sweaters for family members. Virginia will be remembered as a strong woman who was the matriarch of the family and incredibly kind and generous. In addition to her husband, Virginia is survived by her children William G. Vaughan and his wife Jo-Ann Marzullo of Billerica and Lisa J. Prosper and her husband Steven of Norton. She leaves four grandchildren Nathan Vaughan, Christopher Vaughan, Kyla Prosper and Krystal Prosper and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of Mary Ricci of Hyde Park, Rose West of Hull, Janet Bartlett of Norwood, Joie Son of Dedham and the late Nicholas Memmo, Jr. and Ann Totti. She was the sister-in-law of Leonard Vaughan of Arlington, VA. Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (rte 123) Brockton on Sunday 2-5 pm. Mrs. Estelle E. (Azzari) Wright, age 88 died Sunday evening October 12, 2014, at the Winchester Hospital, after a brief illness. Born in Everett, Estelle was the beloved daughter of the late Ester (Zambelli) and Maro Azzari. Estelle was raised in Malden, near the Everett city line. She married her late husband, James B. Wright soon after high school and they moved to Woburn to start their family. She worked as a secretary for over 30 years, for Principal Mooney, at the Altavesta Elementary School on Main St. in Woburn, retiring in the late 1980’s. Soon after retiring, Estelle was honored with a scholarship named in her honor, The Estelle Wright Award. Estelle loved to travel, mostly to warmer climates. Estelle and her husband wintered in Lagos, Florida, where they enjoyed many visits from their loving grandchildren, and then returned for summers here in Woburn. She was a great dancer, avid reader and loved to tend to her flowers and plants. Estelle was the beloved wife of the late James B. Wright. Devoted mother of the late Robert D. Wright, his late wife, Joan, and the late James R. Wright. Mother in law of Patricia Melton of Salem, NH. Loving grandmother of James “Jay” Wright of Wakefield, Charmaine Mari of Woburn, Renee Zaya of Saugus, Amy Benson of Billerica, Kathleen Armstrong of Woburn, Kevin Wright of Tewksbury, and Gabriel Wright of Winthrop. Also survived by 8 loving great grandchildren. Sister of Corrine Lennox of Woburn and the late William Azzari. Further survived by many loving nieces and nephews. NATICK — Mary (Piedmonte) Luttrell, 89, formerly of Natick and Framingham, passed away on Nov. 13 2014 at the Roscommon Nursing Home in West Roxbury. She was the wife of the late John H. Luttrell Sr. Mary was born in Woonsocket, R.I. on May 14, 1925, the daughter of the late Josephine (Motte) and Denis F. Piedmonte. She was educated in the Woonsocket public schools, graduating from Woonsocket High School. She worked at the Glenark Mills, and later married her sweetheart, John, after his discharge from the U.S. Army following World War II. After marrying and starting a family, she lived in Pascoag and Woonsocket, R.I. before moving to Brookline, Mass. and settling in Natick, where she raised seven sons. Mary was active in St. Patrick’s parish and served for years as a Cub Scout den mother. Survived by her sons and their wives: John H. Jr. and Kathleen Luttrell of Wilbraham; Dennis F. and Beverly Luttrell of Marion; Martin E. and Sharron Kahn Luttrell of Mendon; Richard D. Luttrell and Tiffany Brendt of Parsonfield, Maine; Michael J. and Donna Luttrell of Milford; Brian D. and Catherine Luttrell of Billerica; and Kevin S. and Maryellen Luttrell of Southboro. She is also survived by a sister, Ann Pomfret of Coventry, R.I. a brother, Denis Piedmonte of Woonsocket, 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Wednesday November 19 at 9:00 A.M. from the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home 4 Park Street, at Natick Common, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. in St Patrick’s Church. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday from 4:00 P.M. -7:00 P.M. Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Sheila (McGinn) Ritchie of Reading died Tuesday, November 18 in the Atria Long Meadow Place, Burlington. Born in Medford, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Duffy) McGinn. Sheila was employed for many years as a flight attendant. She was the beloved wife of the late Ralph “Fred” Ritchie and the devoted mother of Kimberly Ritchie-Whooley of North Reading, Michael Ritchie and his wife Susan of Billerica, Sandra O’Hara of Medford. Sheila was the loving grandmother of Kerin, Elise, and Jason Ritchie, Casey, Kevin and Conor O’Hara, Kaila and Jenna Whooley, and the loving great grandmother of Benjamin Michael Piracha. She was the sister of Charles “Buddy” McGinn and his wife Mary, Patricia Gill, all of Reading, Terri Hunter and her husband David of Boxford. Sheila was the former mother-in-law of Sean Whooley and the late Neal O’Hara, and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Edward J. Venezia, a 25 year resident of Billerica and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life suddenly on Friday, December 12, 2014 at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. He was 66 years old. Ed was born in Boston on February 29, 1948, a son of the late James Venezia and Josephine (Castronova) Venezia. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1964. Ed was a self employed painter for many years. He enjoyed gardening and taking care of his fish in his backyard. Ed is the beloved husband of Debra Skane. He is the devoted step-father to Jason and Jennifer Skane, Jennifer and Shaun Morrissey, Stephanie and Mel Fiore. He is the loving Papa to James, Kaylee, Emma, CJ, Shelby, Melody, Tyson and Jordynn. He is the beloved brother of Susan Maggelet and the late Annette Gaspar, James Venezia and Joseph Venezia. Loving uncle to Jennifer and Skyla Smith and the late Brian Hiltz. Robert “Bob” Pease, 87 of Stoneham, died Monday after a long illness in the Wilmington Health Care, Wilmington. Born in Indiana, he lived in Stoneham for the past 42 years and formerly of Medford. He was the son of the late Grace (Wyland) and Jacob Pease. Bob was a welder and mechanic with the former Allied Transport for 23 years and retired in 1992. He served during World War II in the U.S. Navy from 1945 to 1947. Beloved husband of Litittia (Paste) Pease. Devoted father of Robert Pease Jr. of Methuen and Marilyn Price and her husband John of Billerica. Loving grandfather of Robert Pease III, Brian Pease, Michelle Callery and Tara Krauss. Loving great grandfather of Brian Pease Jr., Brandon Pease, Kiersten and Madison Callery, Jordan and Sophie Krauss. Robert was also 1 of eleven children. A Funeral Service will be celebrated in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford Friday at 11 AM.
